Sex, Dependency & Women-Child Ratio Chart of Balan-Bihul Rural Municipality, Saptari District (2011 Census)

The pie-charts for male-female population, child and elderly dependency, and women-child ratios of Balan-Bihul Rural Municipality, Saptari District is based on 2011 population census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) Nepal. As of 2011, Balan-Bihul Rural Municipality had total population of 26,068 with male 10,796 (41.41%) and female 11,023 (42.29%). Total independent population (male and female between 15 to 65 years of age) were 12,332 (47.31%) while dependent children (below 15 years of age) were 8,245 (31.63%) and elderls (65 years and above) were 1,242 (4.76%). As illustrated in the Chart, total dependent population includes both the children and elderly people who were 9,487 (36.39%). With respect to women and children ratio, total women between age of 15 to 49 years (statistically considered as women of child bearing age) were total 5,142 while children below 5 years of age were 2,360, which is equivalent to 459 children per 1,000 women. This women-child ratio is also considered as fertility ratio when specific fertility related data is not available.
