Seventy two samples for which the pathology lab report are available have tested negative for coronavirus in Gandaki State. One hundred and twenty four throat swab samples were collected so far in the state and sent for tests.
The Gandaki State Health Directorate’s director Dr Binod Bindu Sharma said 52 samples are currently under examination. He said the ‘Hello Doctor 1092’ programme run by the Directorate has become effective. Anyone who suspects suffering from coronavirus infection can access doctor’s advice from home through this hotline service.
Four hundred and eighty people have used this service so far in the state.
Meanwhile, the throat swab of eight people, including six India-returnees, has been collected at Bareng rural municipality of Baglung district. A team from the Public Health Office Baglung collected the samples reaching the Janata Primary School quarantine and the Sarbodaya Secondary School quarantine at Bareng.
It is said four of the six India-returnees had entered Nepal through the Gauriphanta transit point in Kailali. Coronavirus infection has been found in one youth from Kailali who came together with them.
