The Sushil Koirala Memorial Foundation has urged the government to give top priority to the testing and treating of COVID-19 patients. The testing and treating of the coronavirus need to be amplified in order to effectively contain the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, said Foundation’s member secretary Atul Koirala in a press statement today.
The Foundation expressed worry over slow test for lack of necessary equipments and resources. Member secretary Koirala also demanded the government to further maintain alertness on those kept in quarantine at Nepal-India border and provide relief materials to the daily wage earners and low-income people in view of the lockdown.
Moreover, he appealed to all Nepalis to cooperate with the government by maintaining social distance and staying at home in the wake of lockdown.
