Many parts of the country are likely to witness rainfall along with thunderstorm, lightning and heavy winds this evening, due to the effect of the local winds. The Weather Forecasting Division has said that the effect of the local winds has activated pre-monsoon resulting in an increase in seasonal activities.

The impact of this system will bring short rainfall along with thunderstorm and winds in many parts of the country including Kathmandu valley, according to meteorologist Raju Pradhananga. The effect will continue until late tonight.
