Mega Bank to contribute Rs 13.5 million to Coronavirus Relief Fund

The Mega Bank Nepal Limited as announced a financial assistance of Rs 13.5 million to the relief fund set up by the federal and the state governments for the prevention and control of COVID-19.

The Bank said it will provide Rs 10 million to the relief fund set up by the federal government and Rs 500 thousand each to the relief fund set up in the seven states by the state governments.

Chief Executive Officer Anupama Khunjeli said the Bank was contributing monetary assistance as part of its corporate social responsibility She said the Banks more than 1,200 employees and the members of the board of governors would also contribute funds from their side.

Meanwhile, the Informal Sector Services Centre (INSEC) has decided to provide one million four thousand fifty four rupees to the Coronavirus Prevention, Control and Treatment Relief Fund set up by the federal government.

This amount is collected from the seven days’ salary of INSEC’s full-time employees, the representatives in the 77 districts and the employees working in its various projects, INSEC stated in a press release.
