Bagmati State chief minister vows green signal for Hetauda-Kathmandu tunnel route

Bagmati State chief minister Dormani Poudel has said the Nepali New Year 2077BS would mark the beginning of the implementation of (proposed) Hetauda-Kathmandu tunnel way.

In his address to a programme organised today on the occasion of second anniversary of Bagmati State Assembly here today, the chief minister said the detailed project report (DPR) works in regard with the tunnel project which had been the need of all 13 districts under the State would be completed by mid-April and the project construction tender would be announced with a week thereafter.

As he promised, all routes connecting Hetauda, the capital of Bagmati State to Kathmandu, the central capital, would be upgraded, widened and made convenient by the next six months. A bidding of the Bhainse-Bhimphedi road section, the shortest route to link Hetauda and Kathmandu, will be announced within the next few days.

With the determination of the State’s permanent capital (Hetauda), the pace of construction of physical infrastructure would be intensified, he added. The new session of the SA will be held in its new building and the State government is working the project of building of quarters for the SA members, according to the chief minister.
