Gandaki State has demanded the federal government that it handed over the management of conservation area projects inside it boundary to the State authority itself.
The Gandaki State has sought the managerial ownership of Annapurna Conservation Area Project, Manaslu Conservation Area Project and Panchase Conservation Area Project from the federal government, Spokesperson of Gandaki State government and Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development Ram Sharan Basnet said. Basnet said that the Cabinet meeting of the Gandaki State also asked the federal government to handover Ratna Mandir, Hima Ghira and land plots located in different areas remaining under Nepal Trust.
Similarly, Minister Basnet said that the State government was coordinating for the search of foreign nationals missing in the avalanche in Annapurna trekking route, adding that envoys of countries concerned are in frequent contact over the issue.
Furthermore, the State decided to establish industrial villages in Tarakhola of Baglung, Byadi of Parbat and Putalibazar, Waling and Arjun Chaupari of Syangja. Spokesperson Basnet added that Rs 5.45 million was allocated for the infrastructures development in each location.
