Final decision on foods and health material supplies likely on Monday

The final hearing in the Supreme Court (SC) on a case relating to supply of relief packages to daily wage earners and poor people during the lockdown period by government has been postponed till Monday.

The case in the bench of Justices Hari Karki and Dr Annada Mohan Bhattarai was postponed till tomorrow citing time constraint today.

According to the SC sources, hearing on the case is on progress as there was a limited time for final decision on Sunday.

Earlier, a single bench of Justice Bishwambar Shrestha last week had ordered the government to provide relief package to the needy ones in this critical period. The petition was filed by Advocate Bishnu Luintel and Ashish Lunitel naming Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers as the defendant.
