Chief Minister Bhatta appeals to people for support to fight against COVID-19

Chief Minister of Sudur Paschim State Trilochan Bhatta has urged the federal government, local levels, private sector, non-governmental orgnaisations and the general public to help fight against COVID-19 in the state where four cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed so far.

In an address to the people of the State on Sunday, Chief Minister Bhatta expressed the confidence that the private hospitals will also come on board to discharge their social responsibility during the time of crisis.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Bhatta said that the State Government has set up a fund of Rs 400 million while sharing that banks and private sectors were also extending support in the fund meant for the control, treatment and surveillance against the COVID-19.

“Seti State Hospital has been named as the dedicated hospital for the treatment of coronavirus and Mahakali State Hospital, District Hospitals and health offices are provided with required amount of budget for the management of coronavirus treatment,” he said.

Saying that the federal government was informed about the expectations of Nepalis stranded in Nepal-India border to enter in Nepal, Bhatta added that they have been managed where they are for the interim period as per the understanding between the two countries.

On the occasion, Bhatta assured to provide relief package to the daily wagers and poor people adding that the state government was also trying its best to ensure good health service from the existing facilities.
