The COVID-19 test of Bishwa Bandhu Nepali who died in course of treatment at Western Regional Hospital, Pokhara, is found negative. Nepali was kept in Rupa rural municipality based quarantine and was rushed to hospital after he complained difficulty. He died on March 25 in the hospital.
According to Gandaki State Health Directorate Director Dr Binod Bindu Ghimire, before death, Nepali’s swab was sent to Teku, Kathmandu, for COVID-19 test and the report is now negative.
Rupa rural municipality Chair Navraj Ojha shared that 55-year old Nepali had returned home from India recently and was kept in the quarantine. He added that the locals were worried after his death, suspecting of coronavirus but the test resulted negative.
