3 persons who share same plane with COVID-19 confirmed kept in quarantine in Sindhulanchowk

Three people from Sindhulanchowk district are kept in quarantines after authorities confirmed that they returned Nepal in the same aircraft travelled by 19-year-old lady, who was tested positive for COVID-19 upon her arrival at home from France via Qatar. The three had returned Kathmandu on March 17 from an aircraft of the Air Arabia.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Madhav Kafle of Sindhupalchowk confirmed that the three people had travelled in the same plane that the lady did.

Of the three, one is at home quarantine, next one is in White Gumba at Jorpati, Kathmandu and the third one is at Swyambhu-based quarantine of Nepal Electricity Authority, coordinator of District Coordination Committee Sindhupalchowk Krishna Gopal Tamang shared.

Tamang said that the family members of the individuals are also asked to stay in home quarantine considering the risk of the COVID-19.

Likewise, a 35-year-old woman from Melamchi Municipality-6, who came home from UAE en route to India and Kathmandu, is under the doctors’ surveillance, according to Police Inspector Phal Bahadur Tamang.

Furthermore, two India returnee youth of Bansbari area of Melamchi-12 are taken to a health care centre for medical tests after they were found roaming carelessly in the village, Inspector Tamang added.

Similarly, three Dubai returnees have been kept in home quarantine after the medical checkups in the District Hospital, Tamang shared.
