Biratnagar calm with lockdown

With the lockdown order by the federal government, the Biratnagar people have stayed at home to help fight coronavirus. The markets have remained fully closed and transport vehicles stayed off the road. Only vehicles carrying essentials and those belonging to hospitals, security bodies and media houses were seen plying.

The district police took under control 143 vehicles defying lockdown.

The market would be partially open if necessary for people to purchase essentials, said Superintendent of Police Bishwo Adhikari.
