A Ukraine couple entering Nepal from Kakadbhitta, eastern border point of Nepal, has been returned to India after they were suspected of carrying the coronavirus (Covid-19).
Andrin Largegan, 34, and his spouse Olena Clinko were found with fever while undergoing test at the help desk set up at the entry point. Chief of health section at Mechinagar, Sashikala Rai, shared that the Ukrainian couple were suffering fever and common cold. Their body temperate was over 100 degree centigrade.
Although they were earlier suggested to go to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences at Dharan for quarantine in isolation, they denied the suggestion. So, they were disallowed to enter Nepal, according to Janak Koirala, Chief of Immigration Office in the district. "There is no quarantine facility in Jhapa if anyone is suspected of corona. So we recommended the tourists to go to Dharan-based hospital."
The couple said that they had arrived India via air in January 10.
