Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that party unification was not done just for becoming the PM.
Addressing a party cadres’ training programme in Banke on Sunday, the former PM said that unification of the then CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) was not intended with the motives just to become the PM or to gain some positions. "Party unification was held by considering so many issues," Prachanda told the party cadres.
Chairman Prachanda was of the view that the party unification was held to prepare the ground for socialism by strengthening the future of Nepal’s communist movement and to ensure people’s as well as the nation’s prosperity.
NCP general secretary Bishnu Poudel, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ and Chief Minister of State 5 Shankar Pokharel delivered their speeches in the training programmes organised by the party’s State Committee.
Chairwoman of NCP’s State 5 Onsari Gharti said that 3,000 plus cadres of the party from the state have gathered in the training event, where they would be trained on party’s ideological and organizational issues as well as completing the remaining tasks of the party’s unification processes in the all the levels.
