The Rajarshi Janak University is to offer Bachelor level courses in law and public health subjects from the current academic session.
As per the University’s new academic plan, it is running classes in BPH in public health and LLB in law. The process for this has already been forwarded.
The University believes that the students of State 1 would be greatly benefited with the commencement of the two courses as they will not have to go to other places or abroad for taking these courses. This will also reduce their educational expenses.
University vice-chancellor Prof Bharat Jha said they have already called for applications for enrolling in the public health programme. Similarly, the University has prepared a five-year new curriculum for LLB. The Rajarshi Janak University has already been offering BBA, BSc CSIT, BCA and BSc MLT courses over the last one and half years. Some 200 students are studying these courses at present.
According to vice-chancellor Jha, the University is on expansion phase and developing its infrastructures for providing quality higher education and research facilities. It also plans to offer courses on Oriental Philosophy and Mithila Art to promote and maintain the scholarship and learning about the culture and civilization of the ancient Mithila land.
