The government has been working to establish two industrial villages in two local levels of Palpa district.
Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies has allocated Rs 18.4 million in assistance for the development of needed infrastructures one each in Rampur and Tansen of Palpa. The infrastructures include selection of land, road access, power supplies, transformer and availability of alternative energy source, godown and others.
Priorities of the industrial villages are opening agriculture and forest produces-based industries as per the need of community. The industries established under such framework are expected to create jobs at the local level, thanks to the use of the locally available means and resources.
Mayor of Tansen municipality Ashok Kumar Shahi said that industries can be run either by the local level or in private and partnership modality after the completion of the industrial village. He promised to establish industries to create more and more employments to the local people.
As per the government decision, such industrial villages would be located at Pakluwa of Tansen and Birendratar of Rampur, which are the suitable hub for trade and commerce due to dense population.
Similarly, mayor of Rampur municipality Raman Bahadur Thapa said that processes for the DPR preparation were advanced and the report was likely within three months.
