Minister for Health and Population, Bhanubhakta Dhakal, has shared that framework for the operation of the Geta Medical College was being developed. Minister Dhakal said it during an inspection visit to the under-construction hospital at Geta of Kailali on Wednesday.
The Minister however said it could be operated as the institute of health and science. Also together with Minister Dhakal, Minister for Commerce and Supply, Lekharaj Bhatta, seconded Dhakal that it could be run as institute of health and science.
On the occasion, executive director of the hospital infrastructure development committee, Bhim Bahadur Saud, briefing the visiting minister about the progress of the hospital construction. "Infrastructures will be ready for use to run college in a year," he said, adding that more than 65 percent of works has been accomplished.
Currently, 23 structures are being raised for the college. The hospital to be run by medical college will have 600 beds.
