Movement in need for economic development of State 2

Finance Minister Dr Yub Raj Khatiwada on Sunday emphasised the need to launch a movement for economic development in State 2.

He suggested that local and state governments and every sector working for the welfare of the people coordinate each other and launch development programmes in the state.

For the development of state and local level, the federal government allocates required budget, he said while inaugurating the newly constructed building of main custom office, Jaleshwor.

He also urged utilisation of budget for country’s development.

The Finance Minister directed the bodies concerned to spend 80 to 85 percent budget in the state, referring to 60 percent budget expenditure on average.

Praising the custom office as exemplary of the state and as playing important role in collecting revenue, he said a currency exchange counter would be set up in its premises soon.

The people going to India are facing hard time for want of a currency exchange counter in the area.
