A modern building for the Ratnarajya Secondary School of Jugal rural municipality has been constructed with the assistance from Chinese government. The students here were bound to study in huts after the school building collapsed in the 2015 Earthquake.
The Chinese government had provided financial and technical assistance worth Rs 1 billion to construct three modern buildings including a hostel for the school.
The school buildings are constructed in a total 61 ropanis of land. The hostel can accommodate as many as 600 students. There are a total of 124 rooms in the school having a meeting hall, computer lab, furniture, spacious playground, drinking water facility. The school premise is finely compounded, said Narayan Shrestha, Chief of Jugal rural municipality.
He further informed that the orphan and children from helpless families would be provided hostel service. The cost for their hostel stay would be afforded by the rural municipality. China had brought every construction materials except locally available water and sand for the construction of the building.
There are altogether 400 students in the school now, he added.
