The pie-charts for different sources of household utilities of Dhankuta Municipality, Dhankuta District is based on 2011 population census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) of Nepal. As of 2011, most households (7,975) used tap water as their source of water while 644 households were depended on uncovered well. Remaining households who used different types of water sources were: spout (504), covered well (157), river stream (77), other source (60) and tube well (9). With reference to source of fuel, mostly used fuel was firewood with total number of 5,411 households. The second top source of fuel households used was lp gas (3,703). Rest of households used different fuel sources, such as: kerosene (171), biogas (63), other source (50), electricity (18) and cow dung (11). Similarly, electricity was primary source of light with total 8,725 households using it. Other households used kerosene (626), other source (25) and solar (11) as their source of light.
