The pie-charts about different house designs, such as foundation, wall, roof and toilet types of Biratnagar Metropolitan City, Morang District is based on 2011 population census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) of Nepal. As of 2011, largest number of houses in Biratnagar Metropolitan City had foundation as cement bonded with total number of 43,927 (51.66%) houses, while foundation having rcc piller were 9,446 (21.50%) houses. Rest of house foundations were wooden piller (8,955), mud bonded (3,162) and other types or except listed here (2,832). With respect to the house wall, most houses had cement bonded wall with total number of 31,633 (67.21 %) houses, while second most houses had bamboo wall with total number of 11,437 (24.30%) houses. Remaining houses had mud bonded (2,139), wood planks (1,326) and other types or except listed here (479) wall. Similarly, there were 23,413 (49.78%) houses that had roof type as rcc followed by 15,648 (33.27%) houses having roof type as galvanized. Rest of houses had roof type as tile (4,936), thatch (2,838), wood (119) and other types or except listed here (79). In total, 32,932 (69.42%) houses had flush toilet while 7,675 (16.18%) houses had ordinary toilet and 6,831 (14.40%) had no toilet.
