In 2017 election of Tadi Rural Municipality (Nuwakot district), candidate Narayan Prasad Pandey of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 3,090 (36.82%) votes out of total votes of 8,392 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Krishna Prasad Lamichhane of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) who secured 2,737 (23.84%) of votes. The rest of 6 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 2,565 (15.28) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Ishwori Upreti of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 3,155 (39.20%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Ishwori Tamang of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 2,376 (21.21%) of votes and came in second position. Other 4 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 2,518 (15.64) of votes.
As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 131 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 82 (62.60%) males and 49 (37.40%) females. Moreover, there were total 28 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 6 wards. Same as, total 47 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 23 females and 19 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
