Sundarbazar is a Municipality, which is located in Lamjung district, Gandaki Province of Nepal. Sundarbazar has total 11 wards, which are scattered across 72 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Sundarbazar Municipality had total population of 26,861.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Sundarbazar Municipality had total 26,864 population with 11,769 males and 15,095 females. Out of total wards, ward number 9 had the largest population 5,563, while ward number 10 had least number of population with 5,563.
With respect to number of households, Sundarbazar Municipality had total 7,199 households. The ward number 9 had most households with total 1,562, while ward number 10 had least number of households with total 311 number of households.
As illustrated in the chart, the ratio of male to female population was 0.78, which indicates that Sundarbazar Municipality had 22 percent lower males as compared to the females. Same as, the population to household ratio was 3.73, which means that in average 3.73 family members lived in each household.

In terms of age, the largest population in Sundarbazar Municipality were between 10 and 14 years of age with total 3,604. Gender wise, there were 1,786 males and 1,818 females of the same age group. The least populated age group was between 70 and 74 with total 533 population, which consistes of 273 males and 260 females. There were 59.19 % (15,899 ) of independent population, the working age people between ages of 15 and 64 years. The dependent children, ages below 15 years, were 32.86 % with total number of 8,827. Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 19,116 people fully literate in Sundarbazar Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 460 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 7,889 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Sundarbazar Municipality, total 3,974 males and 3,915 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 1,949 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 647 male and 1,302 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 1.02 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.50.The CBS census also states that 81 males and 109 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 10,246 in Sundarbazar Municipality with 5,118 (49.95%) of males and 5,128 (50.05%) females. There were total 53 schools. In average, 193 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Sundarbazar is Nepali, which is spoken by 18,756 people. The Sundarbazar has people who speak other languages, such as Gurung, Dura, Newar, Tamang, Urdu, Magar, Kumal, Maithili, Bhojpuri, Tharu, Hindi, Bhujel, Ghale, Rai, Sign Language, Chepang, etc.

There were as little as Foreigner caste with population of as little as 12 in total. People of several other castes who live in Sundarbazar are Gurung, Chhetri, Dura, Sarki, Kami, Newar, Damai/Dholi, Gharti/Bhujel, Tamang, Kumal, Magar, Thakuri, Muslim, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Ghale, Tharu, Rai, Brahmin - Tarai, Gaine, Chepang/Praja, Kalwar, Foreigner, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Out of total 7199 households in Sundarbazar Municipality, there were 4,980 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 896 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 1,183 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 81houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 4,578 houses were mud bonded, 2,436 houses were cement bonded, 43 houses were wood planks bonded, 56 houses were bamboo bonded and 5 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 854 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 4,333 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 85 houses had roof of tile, 1,865 houses had RCC roofs, 3 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. With reference to source of fuel, 3,575 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 37 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 2,397 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (8), bio-gas (1,120), fuel electricity (18), etc.
Same as, total 6,737 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 370, while 19 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.94.

out of 7,199 households in Sundarbazar Municipality, 709 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 6,380 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 1,269 establishments in Sundarbazar Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 7,868 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 3,895 and female engagement of 3,973 persons.In every business, there were an average of 6.20 people engaged with average males are 3.07 and females are 3.13. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 0.98, which means as many as 0.98 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 49.50 percent while the females are 50.50 percent.
