Sisne is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Rukum_E district, Province No. 5 of Nepal. Sisne has total 8 wards, which are scattered across 327 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Sisne Rural Municipality had total population of 16,497.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Sisne Rural Municipality had total 16,497 population with 7,890 males and 8,607 females. Out of total wards, ward number 4 had the largest population 2,674, while ward number 7 had least number of population with 2,674.
With respect to number of households, Sisne Rural Municipality had total 3,506 households. The ward number 5 had most households with total 566, while ward number 7 had least number of households with total 296 number of households.

In terms of age, the largest population in Sisne Rural Municipality were between 10 and 14 years of age with total 2,362. However, gender wise largest population age group differs from the total population, such as largest male population falls between 5 and 9 with total 1,205 while female population falls between 10 and 14 with total 1,195 population. There were only 9,195 people fully literate in Sisne Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 458 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 5,412 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Sisne Rural Municipality, total 2,668 males and 2,744 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 1,718 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 747 male and 971 female were not attending teh school. There were as little as Sunuwar caste with population of as little as 11 in total. People of several other castes who live in Sisne are Magar, Kami, Thakuri, Brahmin - Hill, Damai/Dholi, Sarki, Newar, Badi, Gurung, Sunuwar, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Household Foundation
Out of total 3506 households in Sisne Rural Municipality, there were 3,430 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 5 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 3 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 37houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 3,399 houses were mud bonded, 19 houses were cement bonded, 20 houses were wood planks bonded, 15 houses were bamboo bonded and 0 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 1,637 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 203 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 1,443 houses had roof of tile, 4 houses had RCC roofs, 6 houses had roof of woods while 188 houses were reported having roof of mud. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.25.

out of 3,506 households in Sisne Rural Municipality, 757 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 2,691 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 464 establishments in Sisne Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,145 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 633 and female engagement of 512 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.47 people engaged with average males are 1.36 and females are 1.10. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.24, which means as many as 1.24 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 55.28 percent while the females are 44.72 percent.
