Sandhikharka is a Municipality, which is located in Arghakhanchi district, Province No. 5 of Nepal. Sandhikharka has total 12 wards, which are scattered across 129 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Sandhikharka Municipality had total population of 41,079.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Sandhikharka Municipality had total 41,079 population with 18,262 males and 22,817 females. Out of total wards, ward number 1 had the largest population 6,976, while ward number 3 had least number of population with 6,976.
With respect to number of households, Sandhikharka Municipality had total 10,581 households. The ward number 1 had most households with total 2,062, while ward number 3 had least number of households with total 377 number of households.

There were only 28,450 people fully literate in Sandhikharka Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 766 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 11,811 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Sandhikharka Municipality, total 5,867 males and 5,944 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 3,373 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 1,251 male and 2,122 female were not attending teh school. Population by Language Spoken

Out of total 10581 households in Sandhikharka Municipality, there were 8,217 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 948 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 1,185 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 157houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 8,104 houses were mud bonded, 2,143 houses were cement bonded, 67 houses were wood planks bonded, 170 houses were bamboo bonded and 22 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

Same as, total 9,659 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.91.

out of 10,581 households in Sandhikharka Municipality, 670 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 9,633 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 2,392 establishments in Sandhikharka Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 5,583 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 3,324 and female engagement of 2,259 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.33 people engaged with average males are 1.39 and females are 0.94. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.47, which means as many as 1.47 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 59.54 percent while the females are 40.46 percent.
