Rolpa is a Municipality, which is located in Rolpa district, Province No. 5 of Nepal. Rolpa has total 10 wards, which are scattered across 270 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Rolpa Municipality had total population of 32,759.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Rolpa Municipality had total 32,759 population with 14,744 males and 18,015 females. Out of total wards, ward number 10 had the largest population 4,901, while ward number 8 had least number of population with 4,901.
With respect to number of households, Rolpa Municipality had total 7,133 households. The ward number 4 had most households with total 1,148, while ward number 8 had least number of households with total 466 number of households.
As illustrated in the chart, the ratio of male to female population was 0.82, which indicates that Rolpa Municipality had 18 percent lower males as compared to the females. Same as, the population to household ratio was 4.59, which means that in average 4.59 family members lived in each household.

There were only 18,059 people fully literate in Rolpa Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 1,274 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 10,472 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Rolpa Municipality, total 5,205 males and 5,267 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 4,044 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 1,399 male and 2,645 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 0.99 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.53.The CBS census also states that 120 males and 272 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 10,016 in Rolpa Municipality with 4,923 (49.15%) of males and 5,093 (50.85%) females. There were total 74 schools. In average, 135 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Rolpa is Nepali, which is spoken by 24,054 people. The Rolpa has people who speak other languages, such as Magar, Kham, Gurung, Newar, Bhojpuri, Tharu, Maithili, Urdu, Hindi, etc.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Rolpa Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Magar caste with total population of 14,311. There were as little as Kumal caste with population of as little as 11 in total. People of several other castes who live in Rolpa are Chhetri, Kami, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Damai/Dholi, Brahmin - Hill, Gurung, Thakuri, Newar, Sarki, Thakali, Tharu, Muslim, Rai, Hajam/Thakur, Kumal, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Household Foundation
Out of total 7133 households in Rolpa Municipality, there were 6,489 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 310 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 214 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 40houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 6,404 houses were mud bonded, 595 houses were cement bonded, 28 houses were wood planks bonded, 25 houses were bamboo bonded and 0 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 2,725 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 294 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 3,612 houses had roof of tile, 407 houses had RCC roofs, 8 houses had roof of woods while 1 houses were reported having roof of mud. Same as, total 2,857 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 248, while 2,651 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.40.

out of 7,133 households in Rolpa Municipality, 1,390 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 5,682 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 1,158 establishments in Rolpa Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 3,352 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 1,752 and female engagement of 1,600 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.89 people engaged with average males are 1.51 and females are 1.38. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.10, which means as many as 1.10 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 52.27 percent while the females are 47.73 percent.
