Rampur is a Municipality, which is located in Palpa district, Province No. 5 of Nepal. Rampur has total 10 wards, which are scattered across 123 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Rampur Municipality had total population of 35,396.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Rampur Municipality had total 35,396 population with 15,438 males and 19,958 females. Out of total wards, ward number 5 had the largest population 5,053, while ward number 2 had least number of population with 5,053.
With respect to number of households, Rampur Municipality had total 8,132 households. The ward number 5 had most households with total 1,272, while ward number 2 had least number of households with total 437 number of households.
As illustrated in the chart, the ratio of male to female population was 0.77, which indicates that Rampur Municipality had 23 percent lower males as compared to the females. Same as, the population to household ratio was 4.35, which means that in average 4.35 family members lived in each household.

There were only 24,190 people fully literate in Rampur Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 872 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 11,552 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Rampur Municipality, total 5,610 males and 5,942 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 2,955 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 919 male and 2,036 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 0.94 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.45.The CBS census also states that 110 males and 160 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 4,756 in Rampur Municipality with 2,242 (47.14%) of males and 2,514 (52.86%) females. There were total 60 schools. In average, 79 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Rampur is Nepali, which is spoken by 26,776 people. The Rampur has people who speak other languages, such as Magar, Newar, Urdu, Bote, Tharu, Bhojpuri, Gurung, Sign Language, Hindi, etc.

There were as little as Kathbaniyan caste with population of as little as 14 in total. People of several other castes who live in Rampur are Brahmin - Hill, Thakuri, Newar, Kami, Kumal, Chhetri, Sarki, Gharti/Bhujel, Damai/Dholi, Muslim, Dalit Others, Bote, Tharu, Darai, Gurung, Badi, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Teli, Kathbaniyan, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Household Foundation
Out of total 8132 households in Rampur Municipality, there were 6,386 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 511 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 688 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 496houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 6,560 houses were mud bonded, 1,273 houses were cement bonded, 12 houses were wood planks bonded, 145 houses were bamboo bonded and 77 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 1,535 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 5,381 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 61 houses had roof of tile, 1,092 houses had RCC roofs, 4 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. out of 8,132 households in Rampur Municipality, 747 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 7,185 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 1,353 establishments in Rampur Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 4,020 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 2,367 and female engagement of 1,653 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.97 people engaged with average males are 1.75 and females are 1.22. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.43, which means as many as 1.43 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 58.88 percent while the females are 41.12 percent.
