Putha Uttarganga is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Rukum_E district, Province No. 5 of Nepal. Putha Uttarganga has total 14 wards, which are scattered across 560 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality had total population of 17,932.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality had total 17,932 population with 8,512 males and 9,420 females. Out of total wards, ward number 10 had the largest population 2,143, while ward number 6 had least number of population with 2,143.
With respect to number of households, Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality had total 3,861 households. The ward number 10 had most households with total 534, while ward number 3 had least number of households with total 133 number of households.

There were only 7,199 people fully literate in Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 479 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 4,556 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality, total 2,295 males and 2,261 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 3,123 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 1,339 male and 1,784 female were not attending teh school. Out of total 3861 households in Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality, there were 3,655 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 6 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 1 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 183houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 3,826 houses were mud bonded, 8 houses were cement bonded, 5 houses were wood planks bonded, 1 houses were bamboo bonded and 0 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 276 establishments in Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 712 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 426 and female engagement of 286 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.58 people engaged with average males are 1.54 and females are 1.04. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.49, which means as many as 1.49 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 59.83 percent while the females are 40.17 percent.
