Putalibazar is a Municipality, which is located in Syangja district, Gandaki Province of Nepal. Putalibazar has total 14 wards, which are scattered across 147 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Putalibazar Municipality had total population of 44,876.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Putalibazar Municipality had total 44,876 population with 19,638 males and 25,238 females. Out of total wards, ward number 1 had the largest population 6,740, while ward number 12 had least number of population with 6,740.
With respect to number of households, Putalibazar Municipality had total 11,882 households. The ward number 1 had most households with total 1,904, while ward number 12 had least number of households with total 362 number of households.
As illustrated in the chart, the ratio of male to female population was 0.78, which indicates that Putalibazar Municipality had 22 percent lower males as compared to the females. Same as, the population to household ratio was 3.78, which means that in average 3.78 family members lived in each household.

There were 60.77 % (27,269 ) of independent population, the working age people between ages of 15 and 64 years. The dependent children, ages below 15 years, were 30.44 % with total number of 13,659. The dependent elderly population, aged 65 and above were 8.80 % with total number of 3,948. There were 13,199 women of child-bearing age-group of 15 to 49 years. Same as, the todlers or children of 4 years or below were 3,486. Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 32,019 people fully literate in Putalibazar Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 680 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 12,206 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Putalibazar Municipality, total 6,120 males and 6,086 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 3,104 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 1,009 male and 2,095 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 1.01 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.48.The CBS census also states that 65 males and 87 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.
Grade 1-12 Students & Schools
According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 3,417 in Putalibazar Municipality with 1,663 (48.67%) of males and 1,754 (51.33%) females. There were total 97 schools. In average, 35 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Putalibazar is Nepali, which is spoken by 36,882 people. The Putalibazar has people who speak other languages, such as Gurung, Magar, Newar, Urdu, Bhujel, Bhojpuri, Kumal, Hindi, Rai, Maithili, Tharu, Thakali, Limbu, etc.

There were as little as Kurmi caste with population of as little as 13 in total. People of several other castes who live in Putalibazar are Chhetri, Gurung, Magar, Kami, Damai/Dholi, Thakuri, Gharti/Bhujel, Newar, Sarki, Muslim, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Kumal, Majhi, Rai, Gaine, Tamang, Tharu, Kathbaniyan, Hajam/Thakur, Terai Others, Thakali, Sunuwar, Badi, Limbu, Dalit Others, Kurmi, Teli, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Out of total population of 44,876, there were total 760 (1.69%) disabled persons in Putalibazar Municipality with 420 (55.26%) males and 340 (44.74%) females. The physically disabled persons were 274, while mentally disabled people were 70 and intellectually disabled were 21.
Similarly, there were 132 people who were blind and 93 people were deaf, while 8 people were both blind and deaf. Moreover, 105 persons had reported of having speech problems. Total 57 people had multiple disabilities.

Household Foundation
Out of total 11882 households in Putalibazar Municipality, there were 8,748 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 1,468 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 1,560 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 65houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 8,487 houses were mud bonded, 3,256 houses were cement bonded, 35 houses were wood planks bonded, 53 houses were bamboo bonded and 9 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 771 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 7,898 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 382 houses had roof of tile, 2,762 houses had RCC roofs, 15 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.

With reference to source of fuel, 8,423 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 57 households had kerosene as their fuel source. out of 11,882 households in Putalibazar Municipality, 1,021 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 10,728 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 1,296 establishments in Putalibazar Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 4,033 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 2,188 and female engagement of 1,845 persons.In every business, there were an average of 3.11 people engaged with average males are 1.69 and females are 1.42. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.19, which means as many as 1.19 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 54.25 percent while the females are 45.75 percent.
