Phalgunanda is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Panchthar district, Province No. 1 of Nepal. Phalgunanda has total 7 wards, which are scattered across 108 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Phalgunanda Rural Municipality had total population of 24,060.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Phalgunanda Rural Municipality had total 24,060 population with 11,108 males and 12,952 females. Out of total wards, ward number 3 had the largest population 4,338, while ward number 2 had least number of population with 4,338.
With respect to number of households, Phalgunanda Rural Municipality had total 5,162 households. The ward number 3 had most households with total 939, while ward number 2 had least number of households with total 485 number of households.

Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 15,350 people fully literate in Phalgunanda Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 954 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 7,866 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Phalgunanda Rural Municipality, total 3,822 males and 4,044 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 2,154 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 906 male and 1,248 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 0.95 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.73.The CBS census also states that 32 males and 33 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 6,519 in Phalgunanda Rural Municipality with 3,024 (46.39%) of males and 3,495 (53.61%) females. There were total 48 schools. In average, 136 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Phalgunanda is Limbu, which is spoken by 15,372 people. The Phalgunanda has people who speak other languages, such as Nepali, Tamang, Bantawa, Rai, Sunuwar, Newar, Magar, Maithili, Gurung, Sign Language, etc.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Phalgunanda Rural Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Limbu caste with total population of 15,476. There were as little as Terai Others caste with population of as little as 14 in total. People of several other castes who live in Phalgunanda are Tamang, Brahmin - Hill, Rai, Kami, Damai/Dholi, Chhetri, Newar, Sunuwar, Magar, Sarki, Dalit Others, Undefined Others, Gurung, Sherpa, Terai Others, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Out of total 5162 households in Phalgunanda Rural Municipality, there were 4,525 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 132 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 57 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 374houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 4,421 houses were mud bonded, 178 houses were cement bonded, 127 houses were wood planks bonded, 376 houses were bamboo bonded and 11 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 2,969 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 1,997 houses had galvanized roofs. With reference to source of fuel, 4,996 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 44 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 75 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (6), bio-gas (21), fuel electricity (0), etc.
Same as, total 2,545 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 1,776, while 463 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.49.

out of 5,162 households in Phalgunanda Rural Municipality, 987 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 4,156 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 549 establishments in Phalgunanda Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,264 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 650 and female engagement of 614 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.30 people engaged with average males are 1.18 and females are 1.12. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.06, which means as many as 1.06 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 51.42 percent while the females are 48.58 percent.
