Pakhribas is a Municipality, which is located in Dhankuta district, Province No. 1 of Nepal. Pakhribas has total 10 wards, which are scattered across 144 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Pakhribas Municipality had total population of 22,078.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Pakhribas Municipality had total 22,078 population with 10,054 males and 12,024 females. Out of total wards, ward number 3 had the largest population 2,736, while ward number 1 had least number of population with 2,736.
With respect to number of households, Pakhribas Municipality had total 4,977 households. The ward number 3 had most households with total 625, while ward number 7 had least number of households with total 280 number of households.
As illustrated in the chart, the ratio of male to female population was 0.84, which indicates that Pakhribas Municipality had 16 percent lower males as compared to the females. Same as, the population to household ratio was 4.44, which means that in average 4.44 family members lived in each household.
Absentee Population
As of 2011, 2,108 population in Pakhribas Municipality were absent from their households, which equals to 9.55 percent of the total population. In terms of age, the largest population in Pakhribas Municipality were between 10 and 14 years of age with total 2,767. Gender wise, there were 1,396 males and 1,371 females of the same age group. The least populated age group was between 70 and 74 with total 403 population, which consistes of 200 males and 203 females. Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 14,516 people fully literate in Pakhribas Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 485 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 6,299 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Pakhribas Municipality, total 3,125 males and 3,174 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 2,302 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 900 male and 1,402 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 0.98 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.64.The CBS census also states that 23 males and 53 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.
Grade 1-12 Students & Schools
According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 7,913 in Pakhribas Municipality with 3,663 (46.29%) of males and 4,250 (53.71%) females. There were total 42 schools. In average, 188 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Pakhribas is Nepali, which is spoken by 11,871 people. The Pakhribas has people who speak other languages, such as Tamang, Magar, Rai, Bantawa, Phangduwali, Gurung, Limbu, Yakkha, Newar, Nachhiring, Maithili, Athpariya, Sherpa, Bhujel, Hindi, Sampang, Sign Language, Dungmali, etc.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Pakhribas Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Chhetri caste with total population of 6,002. There were as little as Bangali caste with population of as little as 11 in total. People of several other castes who live in Pakhribas are Rai, Tamang, Magar, Brahmin - Hill, Kami, Newar, Damai/Dholi, Gharti/Bhujel, Gurung, Sarki, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Limbu, Aathpariya, Sherpa, Yakkha, Teli, Bantaba, Terai Others, Yadav, Dhunia, Bangali, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Out of total population of 22,078, there were total 610 (2.76%) disabled persons in Pakhribas Municipality with 333 (54.59%) males and 277 (45.41%) females. The physically disabled persons were 209, while mentally disabled people were 36 and intellectually disabled were 9.
Similarly, there were 89 people who were blind and 93 people were deaf, while 7 people were both blind and deaf. Moreover, 86 persons had reported of having speech problems. Total 81 people had multiple disabilities.

Household Foundation
Out of total 4977 households in Pakhribas Municipality, there were 4,292 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 94 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 46 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 520houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 4,136 houses were mud bonded, 170 houses were cement bonded, 111 houses were wood planks bonded, 445 houses were bamboo bonded and 52 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 2,459 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 2,410 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 14 houses had roof of tile, 59 houses had RCC roofs, 6 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.

With reference to source of fuel, 4,762 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 9 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 177 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (3), bio-gas (7), fuel electricity (1), etc.
Same as, total 4,142 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 747, while 52 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.83.

out of 4,977 households in Pakhribas Municipality, 545 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 4,375 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 576 establishments in Pakhribas Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,736 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 908 and female engagement of 828 persons.In every business, there were an average of 3.01 people engaged with average males are 1.58 and females are 1.44. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.10, which means as many as 1.10 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 52.30 percent while the females are 47.70 percent.
