Neelakantha is a Municipality, which is located in Dhading district, Province No. 3 of Nepal. Neelakantha has total 14 wards, which are scattered across 198 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Neelakantha Municipality had total population of 58,515.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Neelakantha Municipality had total 58,515 population with 26,510 males and 32,005 females. Out of total wards, ward number 3 had the largest population 12,004, while ward number 1 had least number of population with 12,004.
With respect to number of households, Neelakantha Municipality had total 13,984 households. The ward number 3 had most households with total 3,370, while ward number 1 had least number of households with total 572 number of households.

There were only 35,076 people fully literate in Neelakantha Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 1,197 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 18,865 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Neelakantha Municipality, total 9,310 males and 9,555 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 5,172 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 1,798 male and 3,374 female were not attending teh school. Out of total 13984 households in Neelakantha Municipality, there were 10,628 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 1,065 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 2,151 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 51houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 10,401 houses were mud bonded, 3,387 houses were cement bonded, 56 houses were wood planks bonded, 40 houses were bamboo bonded and 1 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 2,382 establishments in Neelakantha Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 8,212 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 4,653 and female engagement of 3,559 persons.In every business, there were an average of 3.45 people engaged with average males are 1.95 and females are 1.49. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.31, which means as many as 1.31 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 56.66 percent while the females are 43.34 percent.
