Navadurga is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Dadeldhura district, Sudurpashchim Province of Nepal. Navadurga has total 5 wards, which are scattered across 142 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Navadurga Rural Municipality had total population of 19,957.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Navadurga Rural Municipality had total 19,957 population with 8,607 males and 11,350 females. Out of total wards, ward number 2 had the largest population 4,618, while ward number 5 had least number of population with 4,618.
With respect to number of households, Navadurga Rural Municipality had total 4,132 households. The ward number 1 had most households with total 1,016, while ward number 5 had least number of households with total 511 number of households.

Gender wise, there were 1,521 males and 1,614 females of the same age group. The least populated age group was above 75 with total 290 population, which consistes of 126 males and 164 females. Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 10,536 people fully literate in Navadurga Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 481 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 6,729 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Navadurga Rural Municipality, total 3,317 males and 3,412 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 2,332 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 715 male and 1,617 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 0.97 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.44.The CBS census also states that 65 males and 147 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 4,624 in Navadurga Rural Municipality with 2,195 (47.47%) of males and 2,429 (52.53%) females. There were total 35 schools. In average, 132 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Navadurga is Doteli, which is spoken by 19,736 people. The Navadurga has people who speak other languages, such as Nepali, Baram, Maithili, etc.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Navadurga Rural Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Chhetri caste with total population of 11,363. There were as little as Sanyasi/Dashnami caste with population of as little as 12 in total. People of several other castes who live in Navadurga are Kami, Brahmin - Hill, Lohar, Damai/Dholi, Sarki, Thakuri, Newar, Magar, Hajam/Thakur, Sanyasi/Dashnami, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Household Foundation
Out of total 4132 households in Navadurga Rural Municipality, there were 4,051 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 40 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 0 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 18houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 3,878 houses were mud bonded, 197 houses were cement bonded, 28 houses were wood planks bonded, 1 houses were bamboo bonded and 1 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 195 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 93 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 3,700 houses had roof of tile, 112 houses had RCC roofs, 2 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.
With respect to the toilets, 2,601 out of 4,132 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 998 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 517 houses reported having ordinary toilets.

out of 4,132 households in Navadurga Rural Municipality, 1,761 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 2,301 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 376 establishments in Navadurga Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,012 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 663 and female engagement of 349 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.69 people engaged with average males are 1.76 and females are 0.93. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.90, which means as many as 1.90 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 65.51 percent while the females are 34.49 percent.
