Namobuddha is a Municipality, which is located in Kavrepalanchok district, Province No. 3 of Nepal. Namobuddha has total 11 wards, which are scattered across 102 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Namobuddha Municipality had total population of 29,519.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Namobuddha Municipality had total 29,519 population with 13,604 males and 15,915 females. Out of total wards, ward number 5 had the largest population 4,376, while ward number 6 had least number of population with 4,376.
With respect to number of households, Namobuddha Municipality had total 6,584 households. The ward number 5 had most households with total 922, while ward number 6 had least number of households with total 332 number of households.
As illustrated in the chart, the ratio of male to female population was 0.85, which indicates that Namobuddha Municipality had 15 percent lower males as compared to the females. Same as, the population to household ratio was 4.48, which means that in average 4.48 family members lived in each household.
Absentee Population
As of 2011, 1,309 population in Namobuddha Municipality were absent from their households, which equals to 4.43 percent of the total population. In terms of age, the largest population in Namobuddha Municipality were between 10 and 14 years of age with total 3,791. However, gender wise largest population age group differs from the total population, such as largest male population falls between 10 and 14 with total 1,839 while female population falls between 15 and 19 with total 2,003 population. The least populated age group was between 70 and 74 with total 627 population, which consistes of 310 males and 317 females. There were 62.28 % (18,384 ) of independent population, the working age people between ages of 15 and 64 years. The dependent children, ages below 15 years, were 30.09 % with total number of 8,882. The dependent elderly population, aged 65 and above were 7.63 % with total number of 2,253. There were 8,402 women of child-bearing age-group of 15 to 49 years. Same as, the todlers or children of 4 years or below were 2,170. Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 18,519 people fully literate in Namobuddha Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 662 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 8,312 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Namobuddha Municipality, total 3,946 males and 4,366 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 2,973 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 1,240 male and 1,733 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 0.90 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.72.The CBS census also states that 147 males and 190 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.
Grade 1-12 Students & Schools
According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 4,045 in Namobuddha Municipality with 1,854 (45.83%) of males and 2,191 (54.17%) females. There were total 55 schools. In average, 74 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Namobuddha is Nepali, which is spoken by 13,187 people. The Namobuddha has people who speak other languages, such as Tamang, Newar, Magar, Danuwar, Maithili, Bhojpuri, Hindi, etc.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Namobuddha Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Tamang caste with total population of 12,938. There were as little as Terai Others caste with population of as little as 27 in total. People of several other castes who live in Namobuddha are Brahmin - Hill, Newar, Chhetri, Kami, Sarki, Damai/Dholi, Magar, Gharti/Bhujel, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Sunuwar, Danuwar, Dalit Others, Terai Others, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.
Top five castes of people in Namobuddha Municipality are Tamang (12,938), Brahmin - Hill (7,323), Newar (3,543), Chhetri (2,392) and Kami (920) with total population of 27,116, which forms 91.86 percent out of total population of 29,519 in Namobuddha Municipality.Population by Disability
Out of total population of 29,519, there were total 461 (1.56%) disabled persons in Namobuddha Municipality with 265 (57.48%) males and 196 (42.52%) females. The physically disabled persons were 156, while mentally disabled people were 36 and intellectually disabled were 14.
Similarly, there were 72 people who were blind and 45 people were deaf, while 17 people were both blind and deaf. Moreover, 71 persons had reported of having speech problems. Total 50 people had multiple disabilities.

Household Foundation
Out of total 6584 households in Namobuddha Municipality, there were 6,207 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 159 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 59 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 23houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 5,843 houses were mud bonded, 249 houses were cement bonded, 19 houses were wood planks bonded, 6 houses were bamboo bonded and 303 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 341 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 4,690 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 1,271 houses had roof of tile, 179 houses had RCC roofs, 12 houses had roof of woods while 23 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.

With reference to source of fuel, 5,811 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 18 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 324 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (2), bio-gas (385), fuel electricity (3), etc.
Same as, total 6,139 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 354, while 45 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.93.

out of 6,584 households in Namobuddha Municipality, 650 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 5,692 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 1,021 establishments in Namobuddha Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 3,134 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 1,991 and female engagement of 1,143 persons.In every business, there were an average of 3.07 people engaged with average males are 1.95 and females are 1.12. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.74, which means as many as 1.74 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 63.53 percent while the females are 36.47 percent.
