Mansebung is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Ilam district, Province No. 1 of Nepal. Mansebung has total 6 wards, which are scattered across 142 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Mansebung Rural Municipality had total population of 18,503.

As per 2011 population census, Mansebung Rural Municipality had total 18,503 population with 9,049 males and 9,454 females. Out of total wards, ward number 3 had the largest population 4,113, while ward number 4 had least number of population with 4,113.
With respect to number of households, Mansebung Rural Municipality had total 3,729 households. The ward number 3 had most households with total 824, while ward number 4 had least number of households with total 373 number of households.

There were only 12,843 people fully literate in Mansebung Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 330 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 5,952 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Mansebung Rural Municipality, total 3,031 males and 2,921 females were attending the school. Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Mansebung is Limbu, which is spoken by 6,959 people. The Mansebung has people who speak other languages, such as Bantawa, Nepali, Rai, Magar, Newar, Sunuwar, Chamling, Tamang, Bhujel, Thulung, Yakkha, Khaling, Koyee, Sampang, Dumi, Maithili, etc.

There were as little as Badi caste with population of as little as 11 in total. People of several other castes who live in Mansebung are Rai, Chhetri, Newar, Magar, Kami, Brahmin - Hill, Sunuwar, Undefined Others, Damai/Dholi, Tamang, Dalit Others, Gharti/Bhujel, Yakkha, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Bhote, Sarki, Pattharkatta/Kushwadiya, Badi, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Out of total 3729 households in Mansebung Rural Municipality, there were 1,775 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 42 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 5 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 1,828houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 1,745 houses were mud bonded, 65 houses were cement bonded, 871 houses were wood planks bonded, 728 houses were bamboo bonded and 3 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

Same as, total 887 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 1,618, while 648 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.24.

out of 3,729 households in Mansebung Rural Municipality, 723 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 2,981 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 413 establishments in Mansebung Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,314 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 752 and female engagement of 562 persons.In every business, there were an average of 3.18 people engaged with average males are 1.82 and females are 1.36. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.34, which means as many as 1.34 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 57.23 percent while the females are 42.77 percent.
