Malika is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Gulmi district, Province No. 5 of Nepal. Malika has total 8 wards, which are scattered across 92 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Malika Rural Municipality had total population of 21,729.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Malika Rural Municipality had total 21,729 population with 9,602 males and 12,127 females. Out of total wards, ward number 8 had the largest population 3,821, while ward number 4 had least number of population with 3,821.
With respect to number of households, Malika Rural Municipality had total 4,550 households. The ward number 8 had most households with total 883, while ward number 4 had least number of households with total 310 number of households.

There were only 12,454 people fully literate in Malika Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 613 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 7,394 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Malika Rural Municipality, total 3,595 males and 3,799 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 2,212 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 726 male and 1,486 female were not attending teh school. Household Foundation
Out of total 4550 households in Malika Rural Municipality, there were 4,391 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 59 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 6 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 67houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 4,351 houses were mud bonded, 83 houses were cement bonded, 42 houses were wood planks bonded, 46 houses were bamboo bonded and 0 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 1,331 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 245 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 2,914 houses had roof of tile, 32 houses had RCC roofs, 0 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.
With respect to the toilets, 959 out of 4,550 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 2,555 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 1,013 houses reported having ordinary toilets.

Same as, total 562 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 1,979, while 1,469 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.12.

Facilities
out of 4,550 households in Malika Rural Municipality, 727 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 3,675 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 695 establishments in Malika Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,489 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 887 and female engagement of 602 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.14 people engaged with average males are 1.28 and females are 0.87. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.47, which means as many as 1.47 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 59.57 percent while the females are 40.43 percent.
