Maijogmai is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Ilam district, Province No. 1 of Nepal. Maijogmai has total 6 wards, which are scattered across 172 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Maijogmai Rural Municipality had total population of 21,044.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Maijogmai Rural Municipality had total 21,044 population with 10,377 males and 10,667 females. Out of total wards, ward number 5 had the largest population 4,889, while ward number 6 had least number of population with 4,889.
With respect to number of households, Maijogmai Rural Municipality had total 4,677 households. The ward number 5 had most households with total 1,064, while ward number 6 had least number of households with total 604 number of households.

In terms of age, the largest population in Maijogmai Rural Municipality were between 15 and 19 years of age with total 2,491. However, gender wise largest population age group differs from the total population, such as largest male population falls between 10 and 14 with total 1,268 while female population falls between 15 and 19 with total 1,275 population. Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 15,368 people fully literate in Maijogmai Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 245 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 5,572 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Maijogmai Rural Municipality, total 2,783 males and 2,789 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 2,111 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 989 male and 1,122 female were not attending teh school. Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Maijogmai is Nepali, which is spoken by 10,586 people. The Maijogmai has people who speak other languages, such as Limbu, Bantawa, Tamang, Sherpa, Rai, Yakkha, Magar, Thami, Newar, Gurung, Hyolmo/Yholmo, Thulung, Chamling, Lapcha, Khaling, Kulung, Sunuwar, Byansi, Maithili, Bhujel, Doteli, Puma, Dumi, Tharu, etc.

There were as little as Haluwai caste with population of as little as 15 in total. People of several other castes who live in Maijogmai are Chhetri, Rai, Limbu, Tamang, Kami, Sherpa, Magar, Yakkha, Thami, Newar, Hyolmo, Gurung, Damai/Dholi, Lepcha, Sarki, Sunuwar, Gharti/Bhujel, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Undefined Others, Mali, Foreigner, Tharu, Haluwai, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Out of total 4677 households in Maijogmai Rural Municipality, there were 4,057 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 53 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 6 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 331houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 3,504 houses were mud bonded, 112 houses were cement bonded, 450 houses were wood planks bonded, 568 houses were bamboo bonded and 2 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

out of 4,677 households in Maijogmai Rural Municipality, 398 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 4,226 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 552 establishments in Maijogmai Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,417 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 883 and female engagement of 534 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.57 people engaged with average males are 1.60 and females are 0.97. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.65, which means as many as 1.65 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 62.31 percent while the females are 37.69 percent.
