Madhav Narayan is a Municipality, which is located in Rautahat district, Province No. 2 of Nepal. Madhav Narayan has total 9 wards, which are scattered across 49 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Madhav Narayan Municipality had total population of 35,175.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Madhav Narayan Municipality had total 35,175 population with 18,253 males and 16,922 females. Out of total wards, ward number 6 had the largest population 7,609, while ward number 9 had least number of population with 7,609.
With respect to number of households, Madhav Narayan Municipality had total 5,479 households. The ward number 6 had most households with total 1,135, while ward number 9 had least number of households with total 145 number of households.

There were only 12,164 people fully literate in Madhav Narayan Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 1,521 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 6,747 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Madhav Narayan Municipality, total 3,973 males and 2,774 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 7,099 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 3,249 male and 3,850 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 1.43 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.84.The CBS census also states that 1,053 males and 1,100 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 4,304 in Madhav Narayan Municipality with 2,136 (49.63%) of males and 2,168 (50.37%) females. There were total 24 schools. In average, 179 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Madhav Narayan is Bajjika, which is spoken by 33,334 people. The Madhav Narayan has people who speak other languages, such as Urdu, Maithili, Nepali, Yakkha, Sunuwar, Bhojpuri, Hindi, Bangla, etc.

There were as little as Chhetri caste with population of as little as 12 in total. Out of total population of 35,175, there were total 539 (1.53%) disabled persons in Madhav Narayan Municipality with 329 (61.04%) males and 210 (38.96%) females. The physically disabled persons were 220, while mentally disabled people were 37 and intellectually disabled were 12.

Household Foundation
Out of total 5479 households in Madhav Narayan Municipality, there were 615 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 920 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 36 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 3,704houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 613 houses were mud bonded, 859 houses were cement bonded, 84 houses were wood planks bonded, 3,640 houses were bamboo bonded and 27 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 990 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 23 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 3,719 houses had roof of tile, 432 houses had RCC roofs, 41 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.
With respect to the toilets, 4,215 out of 5,479 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 244 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 964 houses reported having ordinary toilets.

With reference to source of fuel, 1,674 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 95 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 18 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (3,600), bio-gas (9), fuel electricity (0), etc.
Same as, total 2,413 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 2,944, while 7 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.44.

out of 5,479 households in Madhav Narayan Municipality, 912 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 4,202 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 478 establishments in Madhav Narayan Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,878 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 1,706 and female engagement of 172 persons.In every business, there were an average of 3.93 people engaged with average males are 3.57 and females are 0.36. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 9.92, which means as many as 9.92 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 90.84 percent while the females are 9.16 percent.
