Lomanthang is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Mustang district, Gandaki Province of Nepal. Lomanthang has total 5 wards, which are scattered across 727 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Lomanthang Rural Municipality had total population of 1,899.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Lomanthang Rural Municipality had total 1,899 population with 868 males and 1,031 females. Out of total wards, ward number 5 had the largest population 569, while ward number 1 had least number of population with 569.
With respect to number of households, Lomanthang Rural Municipality had total 532 households. The ward number 5 had most households with total 172, while ward number 1 had least number of households with total 65 number of households.

Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 711 people fully literate in Lomanthang Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 38 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 181 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Lomanthang Rural Municipality, total 86 males and 95 females were attending the school. Mostly spoken language in Lomanthang is Lhopa, which is spoken by 1,661 people. The Lomanthang has people who speak other languages, such as Gurung, Nepali, Magar, etc.

With respect to wall of the houses, 145 houses were mud bonded, 0 houses were cement bonded, 0 houses were wood planks bonded, 0 houses were bamboo bonded and 383 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

In those establishments, total 266 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 122 and female engagement of 144 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.83 people engaged with average males are 1.30 and females are 1.53. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 0.85, which means as many as 0.85 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 45.86 percent while the females are 54.14 percent.
