Laljhadi is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Kanchanpur district, Sudurpashchim Province of Nepal. Laljhadi has total 6 wards, which are scattered across 155 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Laljhadi Rural Municipality had total population of 22,569.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Laljhadi Rural Municipality had total 22,569 population with 11,086 males and 11,483 females. Out of total wards, ward number 4 had the largest population 5,350, while ward number 5 had least number of population with 5,350.
With respect to number of households, Laljhadi Rural Municipality had total 3,640 households. The ward number 4 had most households with total 859, while ward number 2 had least number of households with total 493 number of households.

Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 12,472 people fully literate in Laljhadi Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 517 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 6,862 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Laljhadi Rural Municipality, total 3,479 males and 3,383 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 3,818 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 1,628 male and 2,190 female were not attending teh school. Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Laljhadi is Tharu, which is spoken by 17,313 people. The Laljhadi has people who speak other languages, such as Doteli, Magar, Baitadeli, Nepali, Darchuleli, Bajhangi, Achhami, Maithili, Bajureli, Hindi, etc.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Laljhadi Rural Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Tharu caste with total population of 17,385. There were as little as Limbu caste with population of as little as 12 in total. People of several other castes who live in Laljhadi are Chhetri, Magar, Brahmin - Hill, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Dalit Others, Kami, Thakuri, Sarki, Badi, Damai/Dholi, Terai Others, Lohar, Hajam/Thakur, Limbu, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Out of total 3640 households in Laljhadi Rural Municipality, there were 43 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 94 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 5 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 3,453houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 59 houses were mud bonded, 103 houses were cement bonded, 1,570 houses were wood planks bonded, 1,863 houses were bamboo bonded and 1 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

out of 3,640 households in Laljhadi Rural Municipality, 351 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 3,205 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 476 establishments in Laljhadi Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,135 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 691 and female engagement of 444 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.38 people engaged with average males are 1.45 and females are 0.93. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.56, which means as many as 1.56 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 60.88 percent while the females are 39.12 percent.
