Kwholasothar is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Lamjung district, Gandaki Province of Nepal. Kwholasothar has total 9 wards, which are scattered across 175 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Kwholasothar Rural Municipality had total population of 10,032.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Kwholasothar Rural Municipality had total 10,032 population with 4,512 males and 5,520 females. Out of total wards, ward number 9 had the largest population 1,559, while ward number 6 had least number of population with 1,559.
With respect to number of households, Kwholasothar Rural Municipality had total 2,452 households. The ward number 9 had most households with total 414, while ward number 6 had least number of households with total 162 number of households.

Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 5,920 people fully literate in Kwholasothar Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 242 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 2,786 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Kwholasothar Rural Municipality, total 1,383 males and 1,403 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 1,015 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 325 male and 690 female were not attending teh school. According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 13,103 in Kwholasothar Rural Municipality with 6,325 (48.27%) of males and 6,778 (51.73%) females. There were total 30 schools. In average, 437 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Kwholasothar is Gurung, which is spoken by 6,269 people. The Kwholasothar has people who speak other languages, such as Nepali, Hyolmo/Yholmo, Tamang, Magar, Rai, Bhojpuri, Newar, Urdu, Maithili, etc.

There were as little as Sanyasi/Dashnami caste with population of as little as 12 in total. People of several other castes who live in Kwholasothar are Kami, Damai/Dholi, Brahmin - Hill, Sarki, Magar, Chhetri, Tamang, Hyolmo, Gharti/Bhujel, Rai, Newar, Thakuri, Muslim, Dura, Sanyasi/Dashnami, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Out of total 2452 households in Kwholasothar Rural Municipality, there were 2,407 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 8 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 0 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 25houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 2,365 houses were mud bonded, 30 houses were cement bonded, 14 houses were wood planks bonded, 20 houses were bamboo bonded and 0 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

out of 2,452 households in Kwholasothar Rural Municipality, 384 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 2,005 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 316 establishments in Kwholasothar Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 868 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 470 and female engagement of 398 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.75 people engaged with average males are 1.49 and females are 1.26. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.18, which means as many as 1.18 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 54.15 percent while the females are 45.85 percent.
