Kummayak is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Panchthar district, Province No. 1 of Nepal. Kummayak has total 5 wards, which are scattered across 129 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Kummayak Rural Municipality had total population of 16,118.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Kummayak Rural Municipality had total 16,118 population with 7,401 males and 8,717 females. Out of total wards, ward number 1 had the largest population 4,224, while ward number 4 had least number of population with 4,224.
With respect to number of households, Kummayak Rural Municipality had total 3,500 households. The ward number 1 had most households with total 947, while ward number 3 had least number of households with total 531 number of households.

Gender wise, there were 1,157 males and 1,152 females of the same age group. Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 10,233 people fully literate in Kummayak Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 451 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 5,223 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Kummayak Rural Municipality, total 2,519 males and 2,704 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 1,542 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 643 male and 899 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 0.93 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.72.The CBS census also states that 13 males and 19 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 6,075 in Kummayak Rural Municipality with 2,873 (47.29%) of males and 3,202 (52.71%) females. There were total 43 schools. In average, 141 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Kummayak is Nepali, which is spoken by 7,958 people. The Kummayak has people who speak other languages, such as Limbu, Tamang, Magar, Rai, Chamling, Newar, Thulung, etc.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Kummayak Rural Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Limbu caste with total population of 7,665. There were as little as Undefined Others caste with population of as little as 18 in total. People of several other castes who live in Kummayak are Chhetri, Brahmin - Hill, Kami, Damai/Dholi, Tamang, Magar, Rai, Majhi, Gharti/Bhujel, Sarki, Newar, Sonar, Undefined Others, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Household Foundation
Out of total 3500 households in Kummayak Rural Municipality, there were 3,323 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 27 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 6 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 121houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 3,267 houses were mud bonded, 26 houses were cement bonded, 8 houses were wood planks bonded, 178 houses were bamboo bonded and 1 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

With reference to source of fuel, 3,393 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 31 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 25 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (24), bio-gas (7), fuel electricity (1), etc.
Same as, total 1,059 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 1,367, while 664 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.30.

out of 3,500 households in Kummayak Rural Municipality, 706 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 2,792 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 408 establishments in Kummayak Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 929 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 547 and female engagement of 382 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.28 people engaged with average males are 1.34 and females are 0.94. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.43, which means as many as 1.43 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 58.88 percent while the females are 41.12 percent.
