Kepilasgadhi is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Khotang district, Province No. 1 of Nepal. Kepilasgadhi has total 7 wards, which are scattered across 191 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality had total population of 15,288.

As per 2011 population census, Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality had total 15,288 population with 7,323 males and 7,965 females. Out of total wards, ward number 1 had the largest population 3,264, while ward number 6 had least number of population with 3,264.
With respect to number of households, Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality had total 3,347 households. The ward number 4 had most households with total 737, while ward number 6 had least number of households with total 179 number of households.

There were only 8,540 people fully literate in Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 723 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 4,860 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality, total 2,476 males and 2,384 females were attending the school. Mostly spoken language in Kepilasgadhi is Sampang, which is spoken by 4,799 people. Out of total 3347 households in Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality, there were 3,251 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 4 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 1 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 54houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 3,179 houses were mud bonded, 9 houses were cement bonded, 15 houses were wood planks bonded, 102 houses were bamboo bonded and 1 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 214 establishments in Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 669 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 371 and female engagement of 298 persons.In every business, there were an average of 3.13 people engaged with average males are 1.73 and females are 1.39. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.24, which means as many as 1.24 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 55.46 percent while the females are 44.54 percent.
