Kaudena is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Sarlahi district, Province No. 2 of Nepal. Kaudena has total 7 wards, which are scattered across 25 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Kaudena Rural Municipality had total population of 26.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Kaudena Rural Municipality had total 26,085 population with 13,387 males and 12,698 females. Out of total wards, ward number 1 had the largest population 5,760, while ward number 6 had least number of population with 5,760.
With respect to number of households, Kaudena Rural Municipality had total 4,073 households. The ward number 1 had most households with total 888, while ward number 6 had least number of households with total 373 number of households.

In terms of age, the largest population in Kaudena Rural Municipality were between 5 and 9 years of age with total 4,026. Gender wise, there were 2,107 males and 1,919 females of the same age group. The least populated age group was above 75 with total 273 population, which consistes of 131 males and 142 females. Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 8,488 people fully literate in Kaudena Rural Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 907 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 4,723 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Kaudena Rural Municipality, total 2,663 males and 2,060 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 6,113 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 2,938 male and 3,175 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 1.29 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.93.The CBS census also states that 534 males and 512 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 15,279 in Kaudena Rural Municipality with 7,430 (48.63%) of males and 7,849 (51.37%) females. There were total 14 schools. In average, 1091 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Kaudena is Bajjika, which is spoken by 19,795 people. The Kaudena has people who speak other languages, such as Urdu, Maithili, Nepali, Hindi, etc.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Kaudena Rural Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Yadav caste with total population of 6,261. There were as little as Dhunia caste with population of as little as 20 in total. People of several other castes who live in Kaudena are Muslim, Teli, Kurmi, Kalwar, Bin, Dusadh/Pasawan/Pasi, Khatwe, Lohar, Chamar/Harijan/Ram, Dhanuk, Mallaha, Tatma/Tatwa, Brahmin - Tarai, Kanu, Nuniya, Dhobi, Hajam/Thakur, Kathbaniyan, Koiri/Kushwaha, Kumhar, Haluwai, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Sonar, Baraee, Dom, Brahmin - Hill, Badhaee, Mali, Kahar, Chhetri, Natuwa, Kayastha, Dhunia, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Out of total population of 26,085, there were total 306 (1.17%) disabled persons in Kaudena Rural Municipality with 170 (55.56%) males and 136 (44.44%) females. The physically disabled persons were 159, while mentally disabled people were 15 and intellectually disabled were 4.
Similarly, there were 60 people who were blind and 37 people were deaf, while 6 people were both blind and deaf. Moreover, 19 persons had reported of having speech problems. Total 6 people had multiple disabilities.

Household Foundation
Out of total 4073 households in Kaudena Rural Municipality, there were 521 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 1,163 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 43 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 2,273houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 382 houses were mud bonded, 1,002 houses were cement bonded, 98 houses were wood planks bonded, 2,532 houses were bamboo bonded and 6 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

With reference to source of fuel, 2,184 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 68 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 29 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (1,719), bio-gas (10), fuel electricity (10), etc.
Same as, total 1,653 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 2,355, while 19 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.41.

out of 4,073 households in Kaudena Rural Municipality, 915 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 3,101 households reported of using at least one facility. Households using at least one facility, such as radio, television, internet, etc. have been illustrated in the table below.Bicycle was used by the maximum households with total users of 2,612, while Radio was the next mostly used facilities with total household users of 1,621.
Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 200 establishments in Kaudena Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 338 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 279 and female engagement of 59 persons.In every business, there were an average of 1.69 people engaged with average males are 1.40 and females are 0.30. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 4.73, which means as many as 4.73 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 82.54 percent while the females are 17.46 percent.
