Kamalamai is a Municipality, which is located in Sindhuli district, Province No. 3 of Nepal. Kamalamai has total 14 wards, which are scattered across 429 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Kamalamai Municipality had total population of 65,064.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Kamalamai Municipality had total 64,386 population with 30,462 males and 33,924 females. Out of total wards, ward number 6 had the largest population 9,783, while ward number 3 had least number of population with 9,783.
With respect to number of households, Kamalamai Municipality had total 14,315 households. The ward number 6 had most households with total 2,644, while ward number 3 had least number of households with total 395 number of households.

There were only 40,173 people fully literate in Kamalamai Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 1,160 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 19,747 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Kamalamai Municipality, total 9,937 males and 9,810 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 6,067 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 2,429 male and 3,638 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 1.01 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.67.The CBS census also states that 177 males and 359 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 20,168 in Kamalamai Municipality with 9,783 (48.51%) of males and 10,385 (51.49%) females. There were total 125 schools. In average, 161 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Kamalamai is Nepali, which is spoken by 42,088 people. The Kamalamai has people who speak other languages, such as Tamang, Magar, Newar, Danuwar, Maithili, Hayu/Vayu, Sunuwar, Majhi, Bhojpuri, Gurung, Thami, Rai, Sign Language, Tharu, Sherpa, Limbu, Urdu, etc.

Out of total 14315 households in Kamalamai Municipality, there were 1,643 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 1,515 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 1,151 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 9,902houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 3,955 houses were mud bonded, 4,023 houses were cement bonded, 3,541 houses were wood planks bonded, 2,358 houses were bamboo bonded and 49 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

out of 14,315 households in Kamalamai Municipality, 2,476 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 11,661 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 2,803 establishments in Kamalamai Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 11,128 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 6,341 and female engagement of 4,787 persons.In every business, there were an average of 3.97 people engaged with average males are 2.26 and females are 1.71. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.32, which means as many as 1.32 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 56.98 percent while the females are 43.02 percent.
