Kalika is a Municipality, which is located in Chitwan district, Province No. 3 of Nepal. Kalika has total 11 wards, which are scattered across 149 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Kalika Municipality had total population of 41,742.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Kalika Municipality had total 42,493 population with 20,218 males and 22,275 females. Out of total wards, ward number 6 had the largest population 6,373, while ward number 11 had least number of population with 6,373.
With respect to number of households, Kalika Municipality had total 9,116 households. The ward number 6 had most households with total 1,507, while ward number 11 had least number of households with total 295 number of households.
As illustrated in the chart, the ratio of male to female population was 0.91, which indicates that Kalika Municipality had 9 percent lower males as compared to the females. Same as, the population to household ratio was 4.66, which means that in average 4.66 family members lived in each household.
Absentee Population
As of 2011, 2,658 population in Kalika Municipality were absent from their households, which equals to 6.37 percent of the total population. In terms of age, the largest population in Kalika Municipality were between 10 and 14 years of age with total 5,547. Gender wise, there were 2,842 males and 2,705 females of the same age group. The least populated age group was between 70 and 74 with total 632 population, which consistes of 311 males and 321 females. Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 26,680 people fully literate in Kalika Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 1,022 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 11,925 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Kalika Municipality, total 5,964 males and 5,961 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 5,726 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 2,533 male and 3,193 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 1.00 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.79.The CBS census also states that 155 males and 197 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.
Grade 1-12 Students & Schools
According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 8,070 in Kalika Municipality with 3,932 (48.72%) of males and 4,138 (51.28%) females. There were total 50 schools. In average, 161 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Kalika is Nepali, which is spoken by 25,549 people. The Kalika has people who speak other languages, such as Chepang, Tharu, Tamang, Magar, Maithili, Gurung, Newar, Bote, Bhojpuri, Darai, Ghale, Rai, Hindi, etc.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Kalika Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Brahmin - Hill caste with total population of 7,517. There were as little as Hajam/Thakur caste with population of as little as 11 in total. People of several other castes who live in Kalika are Chepang/Praja, Tamang, Tharu, Chhetri, Newar, Magar, Gurung, Kami, Kumal, Damai/Dholi, Bote, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Koiri/Kushwaha, Gharti/Bhujel, Thakuri, Sunuwar, Sarki, Darai, Ghale, Rai, Muslim, Majhi, Kayastha, Sherpa, Sonar, Kanu, Kathbaniyan, Terai Others, Yadav, Teli, Hajam/Thakur, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Out of total population of 42,493, there were total 829 (1.95%) disabled persons in Kalika Municipality with 449 (54.16%) males and 380 (45.84%) females. The physically disabled persons were 241, while mentally disabled people were 66 and intellectually disabled were 19.
Similarly, there were 167 people who were blind and 146 people were deaf, while 16 people were both blind and deaf. Moreover, 92 persons had reported of having speech problems. Total 82 people had multiple disabilities.

Household Foundation
Out of total 9116 households in Kalika Municipality, there were 3,563 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 1,492 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 391 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 3,608houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 3,510 houses were mud bonded, 2,614 houses were cement bonded, 1,713 houses were wood planks bonded, 665 houses were bamboo bonded and 8 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 1,308 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 6,332 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 367 houses had roof of tile, 923 houses had RCC roofs, 27 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. With reference to source of fuel, 6,765 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 32 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 1,653 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (9), bio-gas (609), fuel electricity (5), etc.
Same as, total 7,447 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 1,082, while 218 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.82.

out of 9,116 households in Kalika Municipality, 773 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 8,214 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 1,516 establishments in Kalika Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 3,571 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 1,972 and female engagement of 1,599 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.36 people engaged with average males are 1.30 and females are 1.05. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.23, which means as many as 1.23 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 55.22 percent while the females are 44.78 percent.
