In 2017 election of Jhimruk Rural Municipality (Pyuthan district), candidate Tilak Bahadur G.c of Rastriya JanaMorcha (RasJanM) secured 3,660 (34.35%) votes out of total votes of 10,655 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Pit Bahadur Mahatara Chhetri of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) who secured 2,782 (19.43%) of votes. The rest of 6 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 4,213 (19.77) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Pabitra G.c of Rastriya JanaMorcha (RasJanM) secured 3,789 (36.22%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Radha G.c of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) secured 2,526 (17.73%) of votes and came in second position. Other 2 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 4,146 (19.82) of votes.
As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 189 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 115 (60.85%) males and 74 (39.15%) females. Moreover, there were total 38 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 8 wards. Same as, total 72 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 34 females and 33 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
