Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City had total 152,875 population with 74,964 males and 77,911 females. Out of total wards, ward number 4 had the largest population 14,970, while ward number 7 had least number of population with 14,970.
With respect to number of households, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City had total 34,270 households. The ward number 4 had most households with total 3,581, while ward number 7 had least number of households with total 931 number of households.
As illustrated in the chart, the ratio of male to female population was 0.96, which indicates that Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City had 4 percent lower males as compared to the females. Same as, the population to household ratio was 4.46, which means that in average 4.46 family members lived in each household.
Absentee Population

Population by Age Group
Gender wise, top 5 most age groups male population were between 10 and 14 (9,370), between 15 and 19 (8,847), between 5 and 9 (7,628), between 20 and 24 (7,194), and between 25 and 29 (6,009), with total population of 39,048. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were between 70 and 74 (992), between 65 and 69 (1,496), above 75 (1,500),between 60 and 64 (1,914), and between 55 and 59 (2,492), with total population of 8,394. With regards to female population, top 5 age groups females were between 15 and 19 (9,226), between 10 and 14 (8,884), between 20 and 24 (8,861), between 25 and 29 (7,402), and between 5 and 9 (6,982), with total population of 41,355. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were between 70 and 74 (1,110), between 65 and 69 (1,492), above 75 (1,638),between 60 and 64 (1,825), and between 55 and 59 (2,200), with total population of 8,265.
The population with age-group 50 to 54 had male to female ratio of 1.13, which states that this age group had maximum males as compared to females. Similarly, age-group 25 to 29 had most female population as compared to male population with male to female ratio of 0.81. The age-groups 50 to 54, 55 to 59, 5 to 9, below 4, 10 to 14, 60 to 64 had majority of male population while age-groups 45 to 49, 15 to 19, 40 to 44, above 75, 35 to 39, 70 to 74, 30 to 34, 20 to 24, 25 to 29 had majority of female population as per male-female ratios. Moreover, age-groups 65 to 69 had eqivalent or almost equal numbers of male and female population with male-female ratios of 1.

Population Ratios
There were 65.75 % (100,509 ) of independent population, the working age people between ages of 15 and 64 years. The dependent children, ages below 15 years, were 28.87 % with total number of 44,138. The dependent elderly population, aged 65 and above were 5.38 % with total number of 8,228. As such, total dependent population including children and elderly people were 34.25 with total number of 52,366
There were 45,248 women of child-bearing age-group of 15 to 49 years. Same as, the todlers or children of 4 years or below were 11,274. The ratio of woman of child-bearing age and the number of todlers state that, approximately 249 children were born per 1,000 women. This number is also roughly used as fertility levels when direct measures of births are not available.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Hetauda is Nepali, which is spoken by 94,567 people. The Hetauda has people who speak other languages, such as Tamang, Newar, Bhojpuri, Maithili, Magar, Chepang, Gurung, Hindi, Tharu, Urdu, Rai, Rajsthani, Bhujel, Lapcha, Bangla, Danuwar, Sunuwar, Sign Language, Limbu, Doteli, Thami, Bajjika, Bantawa, etc.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City was inhabitted by mostly the people of Tamang caste with total population of 47,494. There were as little as Dom caste with population of as little as 11 in total. People of several other castes who live in Hetauda are Brahmin - Hill, Chhetri, Newar, Magar, Kami, Rai, Muslim, Damai/Dholi, Kathbaniyan, Gurung, Sarki, Chepang/Praja, Danuwar, Tharu, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Gharti/Bhujel, Thakuri, Teli, Kanu, Kalwar, Marwadi, Yadav, Terai Others, Hajam/Thakur, Dalit Others, Majhi, Kayastha, Brahmin - Tarai, Sunuwar, Koiri/Kushwaha, Limbu, Kumal, Sudhi, Rajput, Dhanuk, Sonar, Kurmi, Ghale, Thami, Baraee, Bangali, Lohar, Haluwai, Dhobi, Chamar/Harijan/Ram, Badi, Tatma/Tatwa, Bin, Chamling, Badhaee, Mallaha, Rajbansi, Nuniya, Kumhar, Dusadh/Pasawan/Pasi, Sherpa, Kewat, Gaderi/Bhedhar, Bhote, Pahari, Darai, Foreigner, Lodh, Dev, Dom, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.
Top five castes of people in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City are Tamang (47,494), Brahmin - Hill (40,589), Chhetri (21,078), Newar (13,460) and Magar (6,601) with total population of 129,222, which forms 84.53 percent out of total population of 152,875 in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City.Population by Disability
Similarly, there were 449 people who were blind and 299 people were deaf, while 20 people were both blind and deaf. Moreover, 286 persons had reported of having speech problems. Total 153 people had multiple disabilities.

Household Foundation
With respect to wall of the houses, 5,772 houses were mud bonded, 21,806 houses were cement bonded, 4,969 houses were wood planks bonded, 494 houses were bamboo bonded and 130 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 1,492 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 12,731 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 5,510 houses had roof of tile, 14,040 houses had RCC roofs, 143 houses had roof of woods while 4 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.
With respect to the toilets, 5,048 out of 34,270 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 22,969 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 6,133 houses reported having ordinary toilets.
Utilities
With reference to source of fuel, 15,986 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 564 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 14,442 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (43), bio-gas (2,761), fuel electricity (89), etc.
Same as, total 31,213 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 2,544, while 149 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.91.
