Haripurwa is a Municipality, which is located in Sarlahi district, Province No. 2 of Nepal. Haripurwa has total 9 wards, which are scattered across 31 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Haripurwa Municipality had total population of 36,042.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Haripurwa Municipality had total 36,042 population with 18,577 males and 17,465 females. Out of total wards, ward number 9 had the largest population 6,210, while ward number 8 had least number of population with 6,210.
With respect to number of households, Haripurwa Municipality had total 5,904 households. The ward number 9 had most households with total 994, while ward number 1 had least number of households with total 419 number of households.

There were only 11,605 people fully literate in Haripurwa Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 652 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 6,389 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Haripurwa Municipality, total 3,717 males and 2,672 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 8,351 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 3,999 male and 4,352 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 1.39 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.92.The CBS census also states that 616 males and 745 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 5,141 in Haripurwa Municipality with 2,413 (46.94%) of males and 2,728 (53.06%) females. There were total 14 schools. In average, 367 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Haripurwa is Maithili, which is spoken by 26,920 people. The Haripurwa has people who speak other languages, such as Bajjika, Urdu, Magahi, Nepali, Hindi, Doteli, Bhojpuri, etc.

Out of total 5904 households in Haripurwa Municipality, there were 101 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 1,034 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 113 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 4,488houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 85 houses were mud bonded, 1,026 houses were cement bonded, 71 houses were wood planks bonded, 4,644 houses were bamboo bonded and 27 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.52.

out of 5,904 households in Haripurwa Municipality, 1,703 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 4,129 households reported of using at least one facility. Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 435 establishments in Haripurwa Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,214 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 803 and female engagement of 411 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.79 people engaged with average males are 1.85 and females are 0.94. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.95, which means as many as 1.95 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 66.14 percent while the females are 33.86 percent.
