Godaita is a Municipality, which is located in Sarlahi district, Province No. 2 of Nepal. Godaita has total 12 wards, which are scattered across 49 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Godaita Municipality had total population of 47.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Godaita Municipality had total 47,687 population with 24,548 males and 23,139 females. Out of total wards, ward number 2 had the largest population 5,798, while ward number 1 had least number of population with 5,798.
With respect to number of households, Godaita Municipality had total 7,902 households. The ward number 2 had most households with total 871, while ward number 1 had least number of households with total 362 number of households.
As illustrated in the chart, the ratio of male to female population was 1.06, which indicates that Godaita Municipality had -6 percent lower males as compared to the females. Same as, the population to household ratio was 6.03, which means that in average 6.03 family members lived in each household.

In terms of age, the largest population in Godaita Municipality were between 5 and 9 years of age with total 7,024. Gender wise, there were 3,620 males and 3,404 females of the same age group. The least populated age group was above 75 with total 618 population, which consistes of 317 males and 301 females. Literacy, Education Levels & Schooling
There were only 16,444 people fully literate in Godaita Municipality as of 2011 who were able to both read and write, while 1,285 people were able to read but not write. In percentage while compared to genderwise population, there were inf percent of male were literate, while the percentage of female literacy was inf only.The literacy ratio between male and female population was nan.
Out of total 9,232 population between the age of 5 and 25 as of 2011 in Godaita Municipality, total 5,212 males and 4,020 females were attending the school. Same as, out of total 9,901 population of the same age group who were not attending the school, total 4,719 male and 5,182 female were not attending teh school. The ratio of male and female who were going to school was 1.30 while the ratio for those who were not attending the school was 0.91.The CBS census also states that 875 males and 914 females did not state whether they were attending school or not.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 4,234 in Godaita Municipality with 2,020 (47.71%) of males and 2,214 (52.29%) females. There were total 26 schools. In average, 163 students were studying in each school.

Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Godaita is Bajjika, which is spoken by 42,413 people. The Godaita has people who speak other languages, such as Urdu, Maithili, Nepali, Newar, Bhojpuri, Hindi, Rai, etc.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Godaita Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Koiri/Kushwaha caste with total population of 8,029. There were as little as Rai caste with population of as little as 16 in total. People of several other castes who live in Godaita are Yadav, Dusadh/Pasawan/Pasi, Kurmi, Muslim, Kathbaniyan, Dhanuk, Brahmin - Tarai, Chamar/Harijan/Ram, Teli, Kalwar, Nuniya, Kumhar, Mallaha, Lohar, Dhobi, Khatwe, Hajam/Thakur, Bin, Marwadi, Tatma/Tatwa, Baraee, Sonar, Kewat, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Kanu, Brahmin - Hill, Haluwai, Rajput, Kayastha, Mali, Dhunia, Kahar, Badhaee, Gaderi/Bhedhar, Dom, Newar, Tharu, Sudhi, Terai Others, Undefined Others, Rai, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.

Out of total population of 47,687, there were total 505 (1.06%) disabled persons in Godaita Municipality with 291 (57.62%) males and 214 (42.38%) females. The physically disabled persons were 154, while mentally disabled people were 29 and intellectually disabled were 21.
Similarly, there were 153 people who were blind and 42 people were deaf, while 14 people were both blind and deaf. Moreover, 76 persons had reported of having speech problems. Total 16 people had multiple disabilities.

Household Foundation
Out of total 7902 households in Godaita Municipality, there were 508 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 2,011 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 197 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 4,939houses were founded on wood.
With respect to wall of the houses, 175 houses were mud bonded, 2,000 houses were cement bonded, 144 houses were wood planks bonded, 5,384 houses were bamboo bonded and 3 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 1,329 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 50 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 5,465 houses had roof of tile, 817 houses had RCC roofs, 25 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. Same as, total 2,032 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 5,628, while 70 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.26.

out of 7,902 households in Godaita Municipality, 2,110 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 5,620 households reported of using at least one facility. Households using at least one facility, such as radio, television, internet, etc. have been illustrated in the table below.Bicycle was used by the maximum households with total users of 4,742, while MobilePhone was the next mostly used facilities with total household users of 3,119.
Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 1,016 establishments in Godaita Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,756 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 1,433 and female engagement of 323 persons.In every business, there were an average of 1.73 people engaged with average males are 1.41 and females are 0.32. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 4.44, which means as many as 4.44 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 81.61 percent while the females are 18.39 percent.
